An early morning crash has taken three lives in Rialto.
The accident, which took place in the 2600 block of South Riverside Avenue, occurred when a Nissan Altima clipped a Dodge Ram. The Dodge was traveling in the southbound lane when it was hit by the Altima from behind.
The Altima had attempted to avoid the Dodge by making an abrupt turn which sent it into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Altima lost control before colliding with a box truck in the northbound lane.
Three people in the Altima, including the driver, were found dead at the scene while a fourth suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. The identities of the deceased have yet to be released. No one in either the Dodge or the box truck suffered injuries.
Vindicate your rights
Recovering from a serious car accident takes time no matter the circumstances. In addition to physical injuries, you may encounter medical debt, unemployment, and mental trauma.
Thankfully, California law creates a cause of action for those wrongfully injured in a motor vehicle crash. Victims can file a lawsuit which, if successful, may result in a considerable financial award.
The first step is contacting an experienced personal injury lawyer. They understand the evidence needed to prove the case and can launch a thorough investigation to ensure the truth gets told.
California residents shouldn’t hesitate to get started. The State imposes a two-year statute of limitations on all personal injury suits. Failure to act promptly could mean permanently forfeiting the right to legal recourse.
